Arriving & Leaving

Step-by-step instructions for water, heating, and hot water systems when arriving at or departing from Belmore Ski Club, Mount Buller.

Arriving Procedures

Water

Turn a cold water tap on to see what pressure is like. If there is no cold water pressure (and cold water should also stop running when turned on) — then cold water has been turned off when last person left (as should have been).

Go to bottom RHS bathroom and there are 2 taps on wall next to toilet:

  • Top tap (water drain tap): Turn fully to right until can't turn any more — this closes it (stops water draining).
  • Bottom tap (water supply tap): Turn this fully to left until can't turn any more (turn hard to left as you may think can't go any further) — so turn until you hear water.

Hot Water

Go to plant room — off top bedroom and hot water system is on RHS wall.

  1. Turn on 2 power switches on bottom RHS wall (for hot water system and heating).
  2. Slide knob to right (to full flame and uncoloured flame picture), hold and press ignition button for few seconds, then slide knob to picture of 3 full flames. (Just follow instructions on unit).
  3. If ok you'll see flame come on and system light.

Heating

Go to plant room — off top bedroom and heating system is directly in front of you.

  1. Push down grey round knob (has #1 on top), sometimes doesn't push right down — should push down to only few mm's from base.
  2. Then press ignition button (has #2 on) so pilot goes on.
  3. Then turn thermostat to 65 degrees (can also adjust as required).
  4. Slowly let #1 button release and system should light. (Instructions are also on unit).

Leaving Procedures

Hot Water

  1. Slide knob along to LHS to "off". (Instructions are also on unit).
  2. Turn off 2 power switches on bottom RHS wall (for hot water system and heating).
  3. If ok you'll see flame go out.

Heating

Turn thermostat to 0 degrees and turn off at switch on bottom RHS of wall. If ok you'll see flame go out.

Water

Go to bottom RHS bathroom and there are 2 taps on wall next to toilet:

  • Top tap (water drain tap): Turn fully to left until can't turn any more — this opens it (let's water drain).
  • Bottom tap (water supply tap): Turn fully to right until can't turn any more. This turns cold water flow off.

Fridges

Empty perishables and turn off, and leave doors open.

Cleaning

Clean areas you have used.

Please advise secretary of any maintenance or other issues that were noticed.
